Michael Ressler

Michael’s approach is one of creating a safe and encouraging environment where people can learn to open themselves up to gaining new perspectives on how to better achieve their goals.
After graduating from Moravian University with a Master of Arts in Clinical Counseling and later pursuing his (LAPC) Licensed Associate Professional Counselor, Michael has worked on expanding his experience in helping clients confront a variety of chronic mental illnesses, including mood disorders, anxiety, depression, as well as family conflict and coping skill development.

Michael incorporates a variety of approaches, including CBT, motivational interviewing, and mindfulness-based approaches, seeking to find processes that speaks most clearly to each individual. Michael strives to bring warmth, empathy, and a sense of humor to each therapeutic relationship to ensure client’s will feel therapeutically challenged, yet comfortable and supported along the way.
Michael believes that everyone has the potential to grow, heal, and improve, and would love to help clients on that journey. In his free time, Michael enjoys volleyball, disc golf, video games, and spending time with family and friends.
My approach to counseling is rooted in Acceptance and Commitment Therapy, which is a very skills-based approach that promotes development of psychological flexibility, so that clients are more equipped to handle the challenges of day-to-day life, and can live a lifestyle in accordance with their values. That said, I recognize that therapy is not a one-size-fits-all solution, and I work actively with clients to find an approach that works for you, specifically.
In between deadlines and meetings, I enjoy spending time with my wife and two children, playing volleyball and basketball, and watching and playing video games and various sports.

Andrew Nadermann
LAPC
I am a professional counselor based in State College, PA, and a current Ph.D. student in Counselor Education at Penn State University. I have been practicing since 2022, working with adolescents and young adults on a range of mental health and behavioral concerns.
There’s a lot of noise in life and it’s easy to get distracted, or want to be distracted. With societal messaging telling us to go, push, produce more, and be more efficient, we tend to overlook the importance of slowing down, taking a breath and catching up with ourselves. My work centers on helping clients navigate their values and goals and breaking through barriers keeping us from living the lifestyle we deserve.

I welcome and affirm individuals from all walks of life, including members of the LGBTQ+ and BIPOC communities, and work with clients across all age groups. Whether you're new to therapy, returning after some time, or feeling stuck, my goal is to create a safe, supportive space where you can explore, heal, and grow.
